Ingredients

1 cup sugar (separated)

2 teaspoon lemon juice

1/4 cup water

1/2 teaspoon cinnamon

10-12 tart apples

3/4 cup flour

1/4 teaspoon salt

6 Tablespoons butter

Preparation

Combine 1/2 cup sugar, lemon juice, water and cinnamon into 8x8 pan. Slice apples into pan and mix.

Crumb: Mix remaining 1/2 cup sugar, flour, salt and butter in a bowl and crumble with your fingers. Spread over apples.

Bake at 375 degrees for 40-50 minutes. Serve warm or cold with whipped cream.
