Ingredients

5 Granny Smith Apples ,peeled,cored,thinly sliced

1 1/2 TBLSP lemon juice

3/4 cup flour

1 cup sugar ( I use 1/2 brown and 1/2 white)

1 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon

1/4 teaspoon salt

1/2 cup ( 1 stick) unsalted butter,cold and cut into pieces.

Preparation

Preheat oven 350. Grease 8" cake pan Place apples in layer and sprinkle with lemon juice Repeat until all apples are in pan. Press down to even Process flour,sugar cinnamon and salt in processor with steel blade to combine. Add butter and pulse process until it looks like coarse meal. Press mixture evenly oner apples ,making sure edges are sealed. Bake until golden and apples are tender about 45 min to 1 hour.
