Ingredients
4 or 5 large tart green apples
1/2 cup sugar
1 teas cinnamon
dash of nutmeg
1/2 cup sugar
3/4 cup flour
1/3 cup softened butter
Preparation
Pare and peel apples cutting into smaller pieces. Mix with next 3 ingredients and put into unbaked pie shell.
Sift sugar and flour and cut in butter. Spread on top of apples and sprinkle with a little cinnamon and nutmeg Bake at 400 degrees for 40 to 50 minutes
