Ingredients

2 Apples

2 tablespoon Butter (softened)

1/2 cup Brown Sugar(packed)

4 teaspoons Cinnamon

2 teaspoons Allspice

2 teaspoons Nutmeg

1/4 cup Raisins

1/8 cup Walnuts (chopped finely)

1/2 cup Water

Preparation

  1. Core the apples and butter the skin.

  2. Combine sugar, brown sugar, cinnamon, allspice and nutmeg in a bowl.

  3. Roll the buttered apples in spiced sugar mixture.

  4. Place in oven-proof serving bowl.

  5. Fill hollow with raisins and chopped nuts.

  6. Add water.

  7. Bake at 325 degrees until skin opens, about 45-60 minutes.

  8. Serve hot with vanilla ice cream for breakfast or dessert
