Ingredients

5 pounds Brisket

3 cloves Garlic, minced

1/2 Onion, chopped

2 stalks Celery, minced

4 ounce Liquid Smoke

2 cups Ketchup

1/2 cup Vinegar

1/2 cup Sugar

1/2 cup Worcestershire Sauce

Preparation

Add brisket, garlic, onion and celery to a dutch oven. Reserve 4 teaspoons of liquid smoke. Add remainder of liquid smoke to dutch oven. Cover and chill overnight. Mix the reserved liquid smoke, ketchup, vinegar, sugar & Worcestershire sauce in a sauce pan and bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer until sugar is dissolved. Pour mixture over brisket. Cover and bake for 5 hours. A coffee rub can be used for the brisket instead of the liquid smoke.
