Ingredients
2 cups flour
1 tsp baking powder
1 tsp baking soda
3/4 tsp talt
1 1/3 cups sugar
1/2 cup shortening
1/2 cup sour milk (milk w/dash of lemon juice)
1 tsp vanilla
1+ cup mashed bananas (approx. 3)
2 eggs
Preparation
Pre-heat oven to 375 degrees. In a mixer, cream shortening and sugar. Add the dry ingredients, the bananas, and half of the milk. Mix until all the flour is dampened, and the mix is smooth. Add eggs, vanilla, and remaining milk and mix until combined. Bake in a well-greased loaf pan for 45 - 60 minutes, until set in the center.
