Ingredients
2/3 cup butter, melted
2 cups brown sugar, packed
2 large eggs
2 cups flour
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp salt
2 tsp vanilla extract
1 cup dark chocolate chips
1 cup chopped walnuts, optional (or pecans)
Preparation
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees
- Melt butter.
- Add sugar
- Beat eggs; add to butter & sugar
- Sift flour, baking soda & salt; add vanilla & nuts, if used? Add to eggs, butter & brown sugar
- Spread in greased, non-stick pan. (will be thin but not to worry)
- Sprinkle chocolate chips over batter. Press in gently
- Bake 25 - 30 mins. Until toothpick comes out clean
- Cool completely before cutting into bars
