Ingredients

2/3 cup butter, melted

2 cups brown sugar, packed

2 large eggs

2 cups flour

1 tsp baking soda

1 tsp salt

2 tsp vanilla extract

1 cup dark chocolate chips

1 cup chopped walnuts, optional (or pecans)

Preparation

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees
  2. Melt butter.
  3. Add sugar
  4. Beat eggs; add to butter & sugar
  5. Sift flour, baking soda & salt; add vanilla & nuts, if used? Add to eggs, butter & brown sugar
  6. Spread in greased, non-stick pan. (will be thin but not to worry)
  7. Sprinkle chocolate chips over batter. Press in gently
  8. Bake 25 - 30 mins. Until toothpick comes out clean
  9. Cool completely before cutting into bars
