Ingredients
2 cups Sugar
1/2 cup Water
3 Whole cloves
1 stick Cinnamon
4 cups Cranberries (1 bag)
1/2 Orange (finely chopped, including rind and pulp)
1/4 cup Bourbon (or Cognac)
Preparation
In a large heavy saucepan, combine sugar and water and bring to a boil, then continue boiling for 3 minutes.
Toss in cloves, cinnamon, cranberries and finely chopped orange.
Cook over low heat until berries start popping.
Stir occasionally, then remove from heat.
Stir in bourbon and pour into bowl.
Cover and chill overnight.
