Ingredients
1/4 cup Crisco
1 cup light brown sugar, packed
1 l egg
1/2 cup all purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon vanilla
1/2 cup nuts,broken
Preparation
Heat oven to 350 degrees Melt Crisco over low heat Remove from heat and blend in brown sugar. Cool. Stir in egg. Sift together and stir in flour, baking powder and salt. Stir in vanilla and nuts. Spread in well greased and floured pan (size dependent on quantity being prepared) Bake 20-25 minutes until a light touch with finger leaves slight imprint. Cut into bars while warm.
