Ingredients

2 lb Stewing Beef

1 Onion, chopped in medium pieces

2 Cans Green Beans, drained

2 Squash

2 15oz Cans Tomato Sauce

Salt + Pepper to taste

Water

Oil

Preparation

Brown meat in pot with oil and salt. Add onion and cook until no water. Add tomato sauce. Add enough water to cover. Bring to a boil, then lower heat to a simmer. Cover pot. Simmer for an hour until meat is tender. Add squash and cook through. Then add green beans. Season with salt and pepper.

Rice: 1 lb Rice. Rinse and soak in water for 1 hour. Drain. Melt 1/2 stick butter in pot. Add 2 1/2 cups water. Add rice. Bring to a boil, then reduce to a simmer. Cover and cook 20 min. Let stand 10 - 15 min.
