Ingredients

6 cups Chex or similar cereal

1/2 cup honey or light corn syrup

1/4 cup sugar

3/4 cup creamy peanut butter

Optional:

1/4 cup dark chocolate chips

1/4 C chopped dried fruit

1/4 C dried unsweetened coconut

Preparation

Butter 9- or 8-inch square pan. In large bowl, mix cereal and peanuts; set aside.

In 3-quart saucepan, heat honey and sugar just to boiling over medium heat, stirring constantly. Remove from heat; stir in peanut butter until smooth. Pour over cereal mixture in bowl; stir gently until evenly coated. Press firmly in pan. Cover with plastic wrap and press again to really get ingredients in there. Put in fridge for 30 min.

lasts for up to a week in fridge.
