Ingredients
1to 2 # skinned,boned chicken breast cut in small pieces
2 medium onions, chopped.
8 oz. tomato sauce.
1/4 cup olive oil
2 large potato peeled and cubed
4 oz. yogurt
1/2 teas chili powder
1 1/2 teas. turmeric
1 teas fresh chopped ginger
2 teas chopped garlic
1/2 teas allspice
1/2 teas ground cloves
pinch of mustard seed
pinch of cumin seed
2 teas coriander
2 Tbsp Curry powder
2 dried chile peppers
2/3 cup chicken broth
Juice of 1 lemon
salt and pepper to taste
2 cups cooked rice
Preparation
Brown onions in oil. Add Chicken and cook covered 10 minutes. Add spices and cook 10 minutes. Add potatoes and cook 5 minutes Add yogurt and tomato sauce and cook 5 minutes Add 2/3 cup chicken broth, juice of lemon, and salt and pepper. Cook until chicken is tender Serve over rice and garnish with chutney, coconut, or maybe hard boiled egg and green onions.
