Ingredients

2 pounds round or Swiss steak cut into 1 inch cubes

2 Tbsp oil

1 medium onion, chopped

2 large tomatoes, peeled and chopped or 1 cup can tomatoes

8 fresh green chilies, or 8oz can chopped green chilies

2 cloves garlic, chopped

2 potatoes diced into 1 inch cubes

Preparation

Brown meat lightly in hot oil and salt to taste. Add onions, cook until clear. Add tomatoes and water to cover. Add garlic and chiles. Add diced potatoes. Simmer 45 min to 1 hour. Serve with flour tortillas.
