Ingredients

2.5 cups flour

1 tsp baking soda

1/2 tsp salt

3/4 cup melted unsalted butter

1 cup brown sugar

3/4 cup white granulated sugar

2 large eggs

2 tsp vanilla extract

2 cups chocolate chips

1 cup chopped walnuts optional

Preparation

  1. Combine flour, baking soda, and salt in a medium bowl.
  2. In mixer, mix butter and sugars until light and creamy.
  3. Add eggs one at a time, then vanilla.
  4. With mixture at slow, add flour mixture.
  5. Fold in chocolate chips and walnuts (optional).
  6. Chill dough for an hour.
  7. Bake small 1-inch balls at 375 deg F for 8-9 mins.
  8. Allow to cool on the pan for a minute or so before moving them to a rack.
