Ingredients
2 ounces unsweetened chocolate
2 cups brown sugar
8 tablespoons softened butter
3 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla
1/2 cup light cream
1 pie crust
Preparation
Preheat oven to 350. Melt chocolate over moderate heat stirring frequently. Set aside to cool. In a deep bowl, cream the sugar and butter. Beat in the eggs one at a time until thoroughly incorporated. Stir in vanilla, cream, and melted chocolate. Pour the filling into the pastry shell and bake in the center of the oven for 45-50 minutes until the filling has set. Cool to room temperature. serve with whipped cream or vanilla ice cream.
