Ingredients

Topping:

1 1/2 cup flour

1/2 cup quick oats

1/2 cup white sugar

1/2 cup brown sugar

1/2 tsp salt

1 cup chilled butter

Filling:

32 ounces of frozen berries (blueberry, blackberry, raspberry) - drain some of the liquid when thawed

14 oz dark chocolate

1 1/2 cup porter or stout (we used Trader Joe’s Chocolate Stout)

3/8 tsp xanthan gum

Pinch Salt

Preparation

Add the flour, oats, both sugars, and salt to a food processor, pulse to combine Add the butter, process until combined Place in freezer until the filling is ready Put the beer in a blender and slowly add in the xanthan gum while blender is on low-medium speed In a double broiler over medium/low heat, slowly add in the chocolate and beer until chocolate is fully incorporated. Remove from heat Stir in the berries Place 8 oven safe bowls (or one medium-large dish) on a baking sheet. Add the filling to the bowls, about 2/3 full Add the topping until almost level with the top of the bowls Bake at 350 until golden brown, about 45-50 minutes *Make sure to place something under the bowls as they tend to boil over a little bit in the oven Let cool for 10-15 minutes and serve with vanilla ice cream
