Ingredients

200 g butter

150 g syrup

75 gg brown sugar

125 g sugar

5 g of ground cloves

5 g of ground allspice

5 g ground cinnamon

5 g potash flour mixed with 2 tbsp. water

40 g of chopped almonds

Finely grated orange zest from ½ organic orange

400 g flour

Preparation

Melt the butter, syrup, brown sugar and sugar gently in a saucepan until it becomes lukewarm. Getting the spices into the butter mixture and fold them good. Stir the flour into the butter mass with potaskevandet, almonds and orange peel - and pipe / knead it all together into a homogeneous dough without kneading too much. Roll dough into a sausage having a diameter of about 5 cm. Wrap the dough in plastic wrap and put it in the fridge for 2-3 hours or even better in the freezer for an hour or more. Cut thin slices and place them on a baking sheet with wax paper. Bake at 200 C until they are nicely brown without being too dark (about 6 minutes).
