2 cups fresh cranberries (about 8 ounces) $$

3/4 cup dried sweetened cherries

3/4 cup port wine

1/3 cup brown sugar $

1 tablespoon red wine vinegar $

1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper $

  1. Bring all ingredients to a boil in a medium saucepan over medium-high heat, stirring until sugar melts. Reduce heat to medium-low; simmer 5 minutes or until cranberries begin to pop. Cool slightly before serving.
