Ingredients
2 teaspoons extra virgin olive oil
1 large onion, chopped
5 cloves garlic, minced
2 15-ounce cans great northern white beans
15 ounces water
1 vegetarian bouillon cube (If youâÃÂÃÂre concerned about the amount of sodium, use half a bouillon cube instead.)
3 tablespoons fresh sage leaves, chopped
Pepper, to taste
Preparation
Heat the oil and add onion and garlic. Cook until tender. Stir in beans with liquid and broth. Stir in sage and bring to a boil, stirring occasionally. Lower heat and simmer for 20 minutes or until beans are soft. Add pepper to taste.
