Ingredients
1 1/4C white sugar
1C heavy cream or evaporated milk
5 squares Bakers Unsweetened Chocolate
1/2C butter
1t vanilla
Preparation
- Combine sugar and milk in heavy saucepan and bring to a boil while stirring constantly
- reduce heat, simmering for 6 minutes without stirring
- remove pan from heat
- add chocolate and stir to blend
- stir in butter and vanilla and stir to blend
- chill until mixture begins to thicken.
- use stand mixer to beat until thick and creamy
