Ingredients
2T grapeseed oil
6 cloves garlic, smashed
1 T tomato paste
1 1/2 T chile powder
1 T paprika
1 T red pepper flakes
1/4 tsp allspice
pinch ground cloves
2 C ketchup
2 C water
1/2 C apple cider vinegar
1/4 C molasses
1/4 C dark brown sugar
1 T kosher salt
1 T soy sauce
1 T worcestershire sauce
2 tsp yellow mustard
1 tsp black pepper
4-5 chopped datil peppers
Preparation
heat oil in a med saucepan over med heat. STir in garlic, tomato paste, chile powder, paprika, red pepper, allspice and cloves and cook until past is dark brick red about 3 min.
Add remaining ingredients. Adjust heat to maintain a gentle simmer and cook until flavors blend about 30 min
