Ingredients
1 loaf Challah bread
Pam/non-stick spray
1/2 cup butter - melted
8 eggs - whisked
2 cups of milk or half and half
1/2 cup sugar
Cinnamon to taste
Optional:
1/2 cup nuts
1/2 cup golden raisins
Preparation
- Lightly spray an aluminum casserole pan with Pam
- Using hand tear Challah bread into bite sized pieces and thrown into prepared pan.
- Add butter, eggs, milk, sugar & cinnamon in a large bowl.
- Whisk to combine.
- Pour egg/milk mixture over Challah bread.
- If desired add nuts & raisins on top of pan
- Bake in 350 degree oven for 1 hour.
NOTE: Prep can be done ahead of time up to 16 hours - simply cover pan with foil & keep in refrigerator until ready to bake.
