Ingredients

1 loaf Challah bread

Pam/non-stick spray

1/2 cup butter - melted

8 eggs - whisked

2 cups of milk or half and half

1/2 cup sugar

Cinnamon to taste

Optional:

1/2 cup nuts

1/2 cup golden raisins

Preparation

  1. Lightly spray an aluminum casserole pan with Pam
  2. Using hand tear Challah bread into bite sized pieces and thrown into prepared pan.
  3. Add butter, eggs, milk, sugar & cinnamon in a large bowl.
  4. Whisk to combine.
  5. Pour egg/milk mixture over Challah bread.
  6. If desired add nuts & raisins on top of pan
  7. Bake in 350 degree oven for 1 hour.

NOTE: Prep can be done ahead of time up to 16 hours - simply cover pan with foil & keep in refrigerator until ready to bake.
