Ingredients

4 lbs. chuck or brisket

2 T. Fat (olive oil)

3 onions

2 t. salt

1/4 t. pepper

1 t. paprika

1/2 t garlic powder

1 Bay leaf

1 1/2 c. water

1 T. browned Flour

Preparation

Brown the meat in fat in a heavy sauce pan or skillet until browned on all sides. Move meat to the slow cooker. Brown onions in leftover fat. Add to meat: salt, pepper, paprika, garlic powder, bay leaf and water. Cook for 6-8 hours on low. Mix flour with a little water and stir into gravy. Remove bay leaf and serve.
