Ingredients
3 cans sliced cooked potatoes, drained
8 slices of bacon
1 onion, diced
1/4 cup vinegar
9 Tbs sugar (almost 2/3 cup)
6 Tbs sugar (1/3 cup)
Dash of salt
2 Tbs cornstarch
4 Tbs water
Preparation
Cut bacon and fry until crisp. Remove bacon. If you feel there is too much bacon grease, remove some. Fry onion in bacon fat until translucent. Add vinegar, sugar, water & salt. Bring to a boil. Mix cornstarch and water till smooth. Stir cornstarch mixture in to the juice until it becomes a smooth & thick consistency. Add potatoes and heat up. Add bacon and serve.
