Ingredients
1-1/2 cups dried navy beans
1/2 medium onion, diced
1/4 cup ketchup
1/4 cup chili sauce
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup water
1 T Dijon mustard
1 T molasses
1 T Worcestershire sauce
dash of hot pepper sauce
2 T salt pork fat, small dice
Preparation
1 Day in advance soak dried beans in water until rehydrated.
Boil navy beans in large pot until they are soft. They must be soft, once the sugars are added they will not soften regardless of how long you cook them. Drain beans.
Add beans and all other ingredients to a crock pot and cook on high for 4 hours or low for 8 hours.
