Ingredients
-1 pkg Chocolate Cake Mx (Use devil’s food)
-1 pkg (3.9 oz) Jello instant pudding- chocolate (I found devil’s food flavor.)
-4 eggs
-1 8 oz container sour cream
1/2 cup oil
-1/2 cup water
-1/4 cup milk
-1 pkg semi sweet Chocolate - chopped
-18 small candy canes coarsely chopped ( I found a jar of crushed peppermint candy)
-1 tub Cool Whip thawed ( I used heavy whipping cream whipped with honey to desired sweetness.)
Preparation
Heat oven to 350.
Beat first 7 ingredients in a mixer. Stir in chapped chocolate. Stir in 2 TBS candy (I did not) Pour into 2 9" round pans (I used 10 x 15) Bake 35- 40 minutes Cool completely. Fill and frost. I cut the cake in half horizontally, then split the sides. Frost each layer, sprinkling with candy. Freeze until set, then wrap and return to freezer.
