Ingredients
2 lbs. meat cut into cubes
1" piece grated ginger
6 cloves garlic minced
2 tsp. salt
1 cup water
1 tsp cumin powder
1 tsp mixed spice powder ( 1/3 cinnamon, 1/3 ground cloves, 1/3 cardamon )
1/2 tsp turmeric powder
1/4 tsp ground pepper
1 T Balsamic vinegar
1/2 can chopped tomatoes
2 medium onions sliced
Preparation
Boil first 5 ingredients on medium heat til water almost gone.
Next 5 ingredients make into paste.
In separate pan, fry onions till golden brown. Add in paste and fry well.
Add to meat, if not enough liquid, add in some water ( 1/4 cup) Slow cook till soft - about 1 hr. Can be done in slow cooker. Serve with rice or crusty bread.
