Ingredients

1 lb fresh jalapeno chiles

8 oz cream cheese, softened

1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

6 slices bacon, cooked & crumbled

1/4 tsp salt

1/4 tsp chili powder

1/2 cup panko bread crumbs

Preparation

Preheat oven to 300 degrees.

  1. Slice jalapenos in half lengthwise. Discard the seeds & veins; rinse.

  2. Combine the cream cheese, mozzarella, cheddar cheese, bacon, salt & chili powder in a bowl; mix well.

  3. Stuff each jalapeno half with 1 tsp of the cream cheese mixture, rounding the top.

  4. Coat with bread crumbs.

  5. Arrange cheese side up in a single layer on a baking sheet.

  6. Bake for 20 minutes for hot poppers, 30 minutes for medium-hot poppers, or 40 minutes for mild poppers.
