Ingredients

2 onions

3 cloves garlic minced

3 tbsp butter

3 tbsp grated ginger

2 tbsp brown sugar

2 tsp chili powder

3/4 tsp gr coriander

3/4 tsp turmeric

1/2 tsp cinnamon

1/2 tsp cumin

1/2 tsp salt

1/2 tsp pepper

1 can diced tomatoes

1 cup chicken broth

1/4 cup almond or cashew butter

3 pounds chicken thighs/breasts

1 cup sour cream

2 tsp cilantro

Preparation

put spices in slow cooker - whisk almond butter & broth together and pour in. Cook on low 5-8 hours. Puree and put back in slow cooker, adding chicken. Cook for an additional 40-60 minutes until chicken is done. Stir in sour cream at end and add cilantro if desired.
