Ingredients
3 cups chicken broth, or use water and a tbsp of vegetable seasoning
3/4 cup lentils, uncooked
1/2 brown rice, uncooked
3/4 cup chopped onion
1/2 tsp sweet basil
1/4 tsp oregano
1/4 tsp thyme
1/4 tsp garlic powder
Preparation
Blend all together in a slow cooker and cook on low, six hours or so. Can be baked at 300 degrees for 1 1/2 hours. Top with 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese the last 20 minutes in the oven.
