Ingredients
1.5 C milk
6 slice bread or 6" piece of Baguette
2 eggs
1/4 tsp vanilla
dash salt
1/2 stick butter
sugar
Preparation
Bring milk to a boil. Take off heat, add bread and let it soak for 10 minutes. Mash with a fork and then beat with a whisk. Beat eggs,vanilla and salt until light. Add egg mixture to bread mixture. Beat. This should have the consistency of pancake batter. Add bread or milk as needed. Heat skillet and add butter. Spoon in batter and cook until brown on bothe sides. Serve with butter and sprinkle with sugar.
