Ingredients

1 1/4 Cups Of Water

1/4 Cup Of Mango Nectar

1 Cup Of Sugar

1 Cup Of Pineapple

Preparation

Firstly I would like to note that if you wish for a stronger pineapple flavor then replace 1/4 Cup of water with 1/4 Cup of pineapple juice.

Measure out a cup of sliced pineapple.

Take a small to medium sized saucepan, and put it on the stove at high heat.

Pour in the mango nectar, water, and the optional pineapple juice.

Once the liquids have been mixed together add in the sugar and pineapple.

Bring the mixture to a boil and then let it simmer for roughly 20 minutes, stir often. (The time you let it simmer depends on how thick you want the syrup to be)

Once the mixture is at a nice thickness, turn off the heat and let it sit for an hour to an hour and a half so the pineapple has time to release it’s flavor into the mixture. (If you used pineapple juice just wait till it’s cooled off).

Then pour the mixture through a strainer into a small mason jar. You may need a bigger one if you didn’t let it simmer long enough.

Now you can use the syrup for a number of things, my favorite is using it to flavor soda, but if has many other uses.
