Ingredients

(all are approx)

1 bag (1 lb)navy beans

3/4 cup maple syrup

1 tsp mustard powder

3 cloves garlic

1 onion

1-2 cups broth

1-2 tsp ea oregano, garlic powder, cumin, paprika

s&p

apple cider vinegar

1 tsp arrowroot powder

Preparation

-soak dried beans for 8 hrs OR used canned/pre-soaked beans

  • mix maple syrup, broth, spices, chopped onion, mustard, ACV etc and add beans. Top up with water to cover
  • cook in slow cooker over night
  • in morning transfer to pot on stove and reduce remaining liquid, add arrowroot
  • if have not added ACV before, add now
  • season to taste
