Ingredients
· 1/2 cup soy sauce
· 2 tsp. extra virgin olive oil
· 1/2 cup brown sugar
· 1/2 tsp pepper
· 1 tsp garlic powder
· 1 tsp chili powder
· 1/4 tsp ground ginger
Preparation
· In a small bowl whisk together all ingredients
· Open a gallon size plastic Ziploc style bag and place in a large bowl - this helps to keep bag upright and to make sure meat is covered by marinade
· Place steaks (or your preferred protein) into bag
· Pour marinade over meat and close bag, removing as much air as possible
· Squish bag around to make sure all the meat is covered in marinade
· Place back in bowl and place in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours but 4 is preferable
· Remove protein from marinade, discarding marinade and cook meat as desired - we grilled the steaks over medium high heat for 6-8 minutes on each side for medium rare
