Ingredients
2 cans (3C) garbonzo beans - 1/4 - 1/2C liquid reserved
4T lemon juice from one lemon
1/4C olive oil
1/2C tahini
5 garlic cloves, halved
1/2 - 1t t salt
2t cumin or cayanne
Preparation
- blend beans, bean liquid and oil in food processor
- add tahini, salt, garlic, lemon juice and cayenne or cumin and blend until smooth creamy, about five minutes
- serve with toasted pitas, carrots etc.
