Ingredients

2 cans (3C) garbonzo beans - 1/4 - 1/2C liquid reserved

4T lemon juice from one lemon

1/4C olive oil

1/2C tahini

5 garlic cloves, halved

1/2 - 1t t salt

2t cumin or cayanne

Preparation

  1. blend beans, bean liquid and oil in food processor
  2. add tahini, salt, garlic, lemon juice and cayenne or cumin and blend until smooth creamy, about five minutes
  3. serve with toasted pitas, carrots etc.
