Ingredients
1 bag egg noodles
1 container sliced mushrooms
3 tbsp butter
1 tbsp flour
1 c. skim milk
8 oz grated cheddar
Salt & pepper
2 slices bread crumbled in food processor
Chopped broccoli (optional)
Preparation
Boil pot of salted water and cook noodles. Melt 1 tbsp. butter in large, deep saucepan. Add chopped mushrooms and cook 6 minutes. Remove to bowl. Melt next tbsp. butter. Add flour and whisk 2 min. Whisk in milk until dissolved. Cook for 1 min. Drain noodles and add to casserole dish. Stir in mushrooms, cheese, sauce, salt and pepper. Melt last tbsp butter. Stir in bread crumbs until mixed. Sprinkle on top of casserole. Bake at 15 min for 375 degrees. Chopped broccoli makes a nice addition.
