Ingredients

1 large onion, sliced in 1/2 inch slices

1 cup flour

1/4 teaspoon white pepper

1 teaspoon salt

1/2 teaspoon Baking powder

1 cup beer (provides carbon dioxide)

2 tblspoons Ice water

Preparation

Mix dry ingredients. whisk in beer, then ice water. dust onion rings in flour and then dip in batter. Fry in hot oil, canola or other.
