Ingredients

3 tablespoons Vegetable oil

1 stick Cinnamon stick

2 tablespoons Cumin seeds

1 Onion, chopped

3 tablespoons Ginger, shredded

3 cloves Garlic, chopped

1 teaspoon Salt

1 Tomato, chopped

3 tablespoons Goram masala

1 tablespoons Chili powder

2 cups Basmati rice

3 cups Water

1/2 cup Carrots, peas optional

Preparation

Fry in vegetable oil: cinnamon stick, cumin seeds, onion, ginger, garlic, salt.

Cook until onion is translucent. Add chopped tomato.

Let cook for 2-3 minutes. Add goram masala, to taste.

Add chili powder and cook 3 minutes.

Put rice and water in rice cooker. Add above pan of ingredients and stir. Can add chopped carrots and peas. Let cook until done.
