Ingredients

Bread:

3 1/2 c. all purpose flour

1/4 tsp. baking powder

2 tsp. baking soda

1 1/2 tsp. salt

1 1/2 c sugar

1 1/2 c brown sugar

1 tsp. each: nutmeg, cloves, cinnamon

1 cup oil

2 cup canned pumpkin

4 eggs

Glaze:

Cream together until smooth (no lumps):

1 1/4 c. powdered sugar

2 Tablespoon soft butter/margarine

1 tsp. cinnamon

1/4 tsp. allspice

Then add 3 Tablespoon canned pumpkin.

Spread on top, sides and ends of bread while still warm.

Preparation

Sift together all dry ingredients. Mix oil and pumpkin together, then into dry ingredients, stirring well. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well. Pour into 2 greased and floured regular size loaf pans. Bake at 350 degrees 50-60 minutes, until tester comes out clean. Cool 5 minutes, remove from pans. Place on wire rack to cool and spread on glaze.
