Ingredients

Nonstick cooking spray

1 16 ounce package dried pasta

3 tablespoons unsalted butter

½ cup melted butter

2 large eggsm beaten

1/3 cup finely chopped onion (1 small)

3 tablespoons all-purpose flour

½ teaspoon kosher salt

¼ teaspoon freshly ground black pepper

1.5 cups evaporated milk

1.5 cups half and half

8 ounces Gouda cheese, shredded* (2 cups)

4 ounces sharp cheddar cheese, shredded* (1 cup)

4 ounces Swiss cheese, shredded* (1 cup)

½ cup grated Parmesan cheese

1 teaspoon unsalted butter

2/3 cup panko (Japanese-style bread crumbs)

Preparation

Instructions:

  1. Add breadcrumbs and a tablespoon of butter to a pan and toast until golden brown.
  2. Spray slow cooker and combine all ingredients except ¼ cup of the shredded cheese and the toasted bread crumbs.
  3. After everything is combined top with remaining cheese and breadcrumbs.
  4. Cook on low for 2.5 - 3.25 hours. Cook for less time for a creamier dish or more time for a firm dish.
