Ingredients

1 stick softened butter

1 clove garlic finely minced

1 tablespoon fresh parsley finely minced

2 tablespoons shallots finely minced

1 tablespoon fresh thyme finely minced

2 tablespoons red wine vinegar

2 pinches salt

1 teaspoon fresh ground pepper

Preparation

use a fork or gloved hands to mix all ingredients

put butter in a sandwich bag and seal, removing air

shape the butter toward the bottom of the bag so it is like a log

freeze the butter

You can take the butter out of the freezer before you start to cook steaks to allow it to thaw

while butter is frozen, cut small disk shapes of butter from one end

put the butter on top of your steak right after you plate it.
