Ingredients

1 cup onion – chopped

1/4 cup oil

8 ounces tomato sauce

1/2 cup water

1/4 cup brown sugar

1/4 cup lemon juice

3 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce

2 tablespoons prepared mustard

2 teaspoons salt

1/4 teaspoon pepper

2 tablespoons cornstarch or flour

Preparation

In a saucepan, cook onion in hot oil until tender. Add remaining ingredients, expect cornstarch or flour. Simmer uncovered 15 minutes. Mix cornstarch or flour with a little water and slowly add to sauce. Stir well and cook another 5-10 minutes.
