Ingredients
1C butter, room temp.
1/2C sugar
2 egg yolks, slightly beaten
1t vanilla
1/2t salt
2C flour
Strawberry or Apricot preserve to jelly.
Preparation
- Preheat oven to 350
- Cream butter and sugar in mixer
- Add egg yolks at medium speed, one at a time until each is fully incorporated, then add vanilla. whisk flour and salt together in medium bowl
- Add flour mixture to butter mixture and mix on slow until just combined.
- Form 1T dough into ball about 1" in diameter. Place balls on ungreased cookie sheet.
- Make a thumbprint in each ball and fill with 1/2t preserve / jelly.
- Bake 10-12 minutes.
- Remove from cookie sheet immediately and cool on wire rack.
