Ingredients
1 napa medium cabbage, sliced fine
or 2 packages of cole slaw mix
1 bunch green onions, sliced thinly, greens included
Combine cabbage and onions, setting aside in a container and ‘fridge the night before.
Also:
Either the night before or a couple of hours prior to assembly, mix below ingredients for the dressing.
Dressing:
1 C salad oil + 2 Tbs. roasted sesame oil
(decrease salad oil by 2Tbs. if using sesame oil)
1 C sugar
2 Tbls soy sauce
1/2 C vinegar (if using seasoned rice vinegar, lessen the regular sugar)
The next day:
2 pkgs. - any flavor ramen noodles (crushed & broken up - discard flavor packet)
1 pkg slivered almonds (2 1/2 oz)
3 Tbls sesame seeds, toasted
Preparation
Lightly toast noodles, almonds and sesame seeds on a cookie sheet in oven (400 degrees) for about 12 minutes or so. Stir at 5 minutes into browning.
Toss all together ingredients just before serving.
