Ingredients
1 pound lean fresh ground pork
1/2 pound ground veal, may use all pork
2 medium onions, minced
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
1/2 teaspoon thyme
1/4 teaspoon sage
1/4 teaspoon dry mustard
1/4 teaspoon ground cloves
1/2(+/-) cup boiling water
3/4 cup mashed potatoes
Preparation
Mix all ingredients, except potatoes, together until well combined.
Simmer over low heat for 45 minutes, stirring occasionally, until most of liquid has evaporated.
Mix in mashed potatoes. May also include small pieces of diced potato.
Let filling cool.
