Ingredients

1 pkg chocolate fudge cake mix

1 can cherry pie filling (12 oz)

1 tsp almond extract

2 eggs; beaten

FROSTING:

1 cup sugar

5 Tbsp butter

1/3 cup milk

1 pgk (6 oz) semisweet chocolate chips

Preparation

Directions for cake: Heat oven to 350 degrees. Using solid shortening, great 9x13 pan. In bowl combine first four ingredients by hand; stir until well blended. Pour in pan. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until it tests done. When cake comes out of oven, begin making frosting.

FROSTING: In small saucepan, combine sugar, butter and milk. Boil, stirring constantly for 2 minutes. Remove from heat; stire in chocolate chips until smooth. Immediately pour over partially cooled cake.
