Ingredients
spices (oregano, tarragon, basil, fresh garlic, salt)
1 whole load wheat bread
1 lb smoked or Italian sausage (5 links), cup up
1 cup chopped green onions
1 lb sliced mushrooms (2 cups)
1 can chicken broth
2 cups celery, chopped
Preparation
In a large skillet, brown sausage; pour off fat. Add butter, spices, celery, mushrooms, onions; cook until onion is tender. Add bread- a little at a time- adding broth to keep it moist. cook slowly on low heat.
