Ingredients

1 cup matzo meal

1/4 cup chicken fat

4 pieces large eggs

1 teaspoon salt

1 dash pepper

1/4 cup water

Preparation

Beat eggs well. Add water, melted smaltz, salt and pepper. Mix well.

Add matzo meal in portions, stirring thoroughly. Cover and refrigerate 1 hour.

Form balls the size of walnuts. Wet hands, do not handle too much..

Drop into 2 large pots of boiling water. Cover and cook for 30 minutes.
