Ingredients

2 large sweet potatoes or yams or mix

4 T butter

1 t salt

1/4 C maple syrup

1/4 heavy cream

Trader Joe’s Candied pecans

Preparation

Heat oven to 400° F. Pierce each sweet potato several times with the tines of a fork. Place the sweet potatoes on a rimmed baking sheet lined with foil. Bake until tender, about 45 minutes.

When cool enough to handle, but still hot, remove skin from potatoes and pass through a ricer into a large bowl. Add the rest of the ingredients. Mix with an electric mixer until fluffy.

Turn mixture out into a buttered casserole dish. Top with candied pecans and bake at 350 degrees until hot.
