Ingredients
Cake: Ingredients are for one layer; double amounts for 2 layers. Make each layer separately.
10 x 2 Tbsp butter
2 x 2 Tbsp honey
3/4 cup x 2 sugar
1 x 2 egg
1/2 tsp x 2 baking soda
1/2 tsp x 2 vanilla
1 1/2 cups x 2 flour
Frosting:
10 Tbsp butter
3/4 cup sugar
1 cup sour cream
1 cup or more walnuts, toasted and chopped
Preparation
For cake: Cream butter, sugar, and honey, then mix in the rest of the ingredients. Spread into a parchment-lined 9 x 13" pan with buttered fingers. Bake at 350 for 12 minutes or until toothpick tester comes out clean. Repeat for second layer. Cool completely.
For frosting:
With whisk, beat together butter, sugar, and sour cream. Spread on first layer. Sprinkled liberally with chopped toasted walnuts. Top with second layer and repeat.
